Inspired by the woven texture on wicker baskets and the need for a pain free way to keep hair off your face.

There are four different versions of the Basket Ribbon: the Flat version (long, short) and the Circular version (long, short).

Flat Ribbons can be tied and worn as a headband, a ponytail wrap, a skinny scarf, a bag accessory, or even as a belt.

Circular Ribbons are best suited for headbands and scrunchies.

The possibilities are endless with your imagination!

Pattern Construction: 

The patterns are created individually as single pieces, either knit back and forth (flat version) or in the round (circular version). Both versions use circular needles for length requirements. By repeating groups of knits and purls, a basket-like texture is created that looks the same on both the front and the back of the object. The twill offset of the basketweave adds a subtle wave texture reminiscent of cables (without having to do cables).
